Workshop Kreativ & Selbstständig AI in Art: Risks, Potential, and Creative Tools
Typ
Workshop in English
Beschreibung
Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming work in the cultural sector. In this workshop, we explore how AI can be used in theatre and cultural work, as an artistic tool, as well as to support administrative processes such as grant applications, budget planning, or communication.
At the same time, we critically reflect on the risks associated with these developments.
Participants will get to know practical AI tools and test methods for using them effectively and responsibly.
Together, we explore how AI can genuinely save time and enrich working processes without endangering the originality and authenticity of artistic work.
A particular focus lies on the creative use of AI tools. Many artists now use chatbots such as ChatGPT or Gemini for text-based work, for example when writing applications, project descriptions, or concepts. Yet these texts often come across as interchangeable and repetitive; it is quickly apparent that they were generated by AI. This costs both juries and applicants time and opportunities.
In this workshop, participants learn to understand AI not as a replacement, but as a creative partner: a way to sharpen their own ideas, identify gaps, develop new approaches, and keep their personal language vivid and authentic.
The aim is to see AI as a tool that strengthens both one’s creativity and one’s sense of professional identity as a cultural practitioner. Participants will try out different language models, reflect on their strengths and weaknesses, and discover how AI can help them perceive their own
potential more consciously and develop it further.
