In today’s increasingly competitive funding landscape, writing successful grant applications has become a critical skill for artists, curators, and creative professionals.
This focused two-day workshop is designed to provide you with the practical tools, insights, and confidence needed to craft strong, persuasive proposals for both local and international opportunities.
Day 1:
On Day 1, you’ll gain a solid understanding of how funding bodies make decisions, how to write compelling applications with all its components including artist statements, CV, portfolio, etc. You’ll receive sample texts, resource lists, and tips to overcome common writing blockages—all in a supportive and interactive environment.
Day 2:
Day 2 takes your application to the next level. You’ll learn how to integrate AI tools into your grant writing process to save time and effort—while still maintaining a strong personal voice. We’ll also dive into realistic budgeting, timeline planning, and practices to refine your own application materials with live feedback.
Berlin Art Grant Clinic is a support platform for artists, curators, NGOs, and creatives, helping them build sustainable careers in the arts. Since 2014, it has coached over 2,300 cultural professionals through workshops, seminars, and consultations—bridging the gap between art education and professional life. Its Emergency Room program boasts an 82% funding success rate.
