Workshop for performing artists: production and management
Working as a freelance artist in Berlin: what does this mean in practice for those involved in the performing arts – especially when coming from different countries and backgrounds? Which organizational structures are possible and what does it mean in terms of legal forms, health insurance, taxes, etc.? What needs to be considered in the planning and implementation of a theater or dance project?
Knowledge of funding structures, sponsorship and legal issues is just as relevant as a good concept and a coherent financial plan.
The 2-day seminar aims primarily at English-speaking young choreographers / performing arts professionals organizing their own management. The fundamentals of freelance work will be explained: from project idea and concept to financial issues. In addition, the seminar offers the opportunity to get into contact with experts from relevant disciplines.
